Shift to second gear using the clutch and throttle appropriately when the motorcycle reaches the correct speed.

The front and rear brakes should ideally be applied together every time, even though front brakes exert greater stopping force.

It is illegal for M1 drivers to carry passengers at any time. Passengers are never permitted on mopeds.

Cargo must be secured in a low position. If cargo must be placed on both sides of the motorcycle, be certain to distribute the weight of the cargo evenly on both sides so that balance will not be affected.
